The Osun State Government has launched Imole Wi-Fi, a free public internet service aimed at improving digital access for residents, students, and businesses.
Commissioner for Information and Enlightenment, Kolapo Alimi, said the initiative is designed to open up opportunities for growth across sectors including education, health, agriculture, and commerce.
The first phase will cover key locations such as the Osun State Library, Alphastart Hub, Osun Mall, Salvation Army Middle School, Osogbo Grammar School, and the Ministry of Innovation, Science, Technology, and Digital Economy.

Governor Ademola Adeleke described the project as transformative, noting that it will cut barriers for entrepreneurs, connect communities, and drive economic expansion.
Special Adviser Azeez Badmus added that the rollout is only the first step, with more services and sector-specific tools to follow, ensuring that SMEs and residents alike benefit from Osun's digital future.
