Over 39,000 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Katsina State have received grants totaling ₦2.5 billion from the Federal Government to strengthen and sustain their businesses.
Vice President Kashim Shettima, speaking at the ninth Expanded National MSME Clinics in Katsina, said the support is part of ongoing interventions aimed at reviving small businesses, creating jobs, and empowering entrepreneurs nationwide.
He highlighted several key initiatives, including the ₦75 billion MSME intervention fund by the Bank of Industry (BoI) and the ₦50 billion Presidential Conditional Grant Scheme, which targets one million nano-businesses across Nigeria. Shettima also announced an additional ₦250,000 non-repayable grant for each outstanding MSME exhibiting at the clinic.

Governor Dikko Umaru Radda reaffirmed the state's commitment to enterprise growth, unveiling a ₦5.5 billion MSME fund with over ₦1 billion already disbursed to 701 businesses. He also announced a six-month mentorship program to provide ongoing support for participants.
With over 100,000 beneficiaries already supported through KASEDA since 2023, Katsina State continues to position itself as a hub for MSME development and innovation in northern Nigeria.
