The Katsina State Government has inaugurated the Local Organizing Committee for the first Katsina Economic and Investment Summit (InvestKatsina 1.0), marking a major step toward transforming the state into a globally competitive investment hub.
The Summit, which will be the first under the current administration, aims to showcase the state's progress in building a vibrant subnational economy driven by innovation, enterprise, and inclusive growth.
Speaking at the inaugural committee meeting, the chairperson noted that the event will bring together domestic and international investors, policymakers, private sector leaders, and development partners to explore investment opportunities across key sectors including agriculture, technology, energy, and mining.

The Summit is also expected to spotlight small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as a catalyst for sustainable development, with sessions designed to connect local entrepreneurs with funding opportunities, technical support, and strategic partnerships.
According to the organisers, InvestKatsina 1.0 will serve as a platform to present the administration's economic blueprint, strengthen investor confidence, and accelerate industrialisation efforts across the state.
