Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has reaffirmed his administration's commitment to ensuring the safety and dignity of workers across Lagos State.
Speaking at the 3rd Lagos State Occupational Safety and Health Conference, the Governor emphasized that no worker should leave home for work and return injured or worse, stressing that every Lagosian deserves a safe and dignified work environment.
Sanwo-Olu noted that through the Lagos State Safety Commission, the state has made significant progress in reducing workplace accidents, improving safety standards, and strengthening accountability across sectors such as construction, manufacturing, hospitality, and education.

As part of efforts to sustain these gains, the Governor unveiled the 'Safety First' Campaign and the Occupational Safety Cadre, aimed at making workplace safety a central component of public service and promoting it as a viable career path.
He stated that the initiative aligns with the administration's broader vision of creating a safer, more inclusive Lagos where workers' welfare remains a top priority.
"A safer Lagos is not just a goal; it is our shared responsibility and a promise we intend to keep," Sanwo-Olu affirmed.
