The Chairman of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area, Aare Taoheed Adebayo Taiwo (TAT), has launched the Mega Empowerment Initiative, a large-scale grassroots programme aimed at strengthening micro and small enterprises, supporting vulnerable groups, and driving economic inclusion across the council's six wards.
Through the initiative, 100 small business owners received ₦200,000 each, while 10 young entrepreneurs aged 18–30 were awarded ₦500,000 each under the Ejigbo Youth Startup Fund to support enterprise creation and growth. The programme also offers mentorship, investor linkages, and long-term enterprise development support.
In total, 510 residents benefited from capacity-building opportunities and business equipment, including sewing machines, deep freezers, ovens, POS terminals with starter funds, vulcanizing machines, and digital tools.
