Governor Seyi Makinde, speaking at the event, said Nigeria must shift from its heavy reliance on crude oil and focus on technology and innovation. "Coal was once a symbol of wealth, but today it's forgotten. Oil will soon follow. We need to invest in education, entrepreneurship, and digital capacity," he said. Speaking during a courtesy visit by AEDC Chairman Mr Yoon Suk-hun to the Presidential Villa, Shettima affirmed the government's readiness to support initiatives that promote industrial growth, technology transfer, and SME development. "We want to be facilitators for businesses to thrive," he said, assuring a conducive environment for private sector investments.
