Speaking in Abuja, the pioneer director-general of the Katsina State Enterprise Development Agency (KASEDA), Hajiya Aisha Aminu, said the state, in partnership with UNDP, has aligned with the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA) to open new opportunities for local businesses beyond Nigeria. She disclosed that a recent MSME census mapped out business clusters across the state, helping entrepreneurs connect with wider markets across Northern Nigeria and Africa. Two more centres are underway in Daura and Funtua. The facilities also house agribusiness units, enabling local products—such as ready-mix bean powder for akara—to be processed and exported to Europe and the U.S. According to Aminu, MSMEs remain central to Katsina's economic agenda as drivers of job creation, poverty reduction, and industrial growth.

According to the Ministry of Youth Development, the programme covers global asset classes such as commodities, gold, equities, and foreign exchange, alongside lessons in risk management, portfolio development, and wealth-building strategies.
