The initiative, known as CAP2E, will train 6,000 youth in technical and vocational fields, create over 5,000 jobs 40% reserved for women and provide support to more than 500 SMEs. Cameroon's Economy Minister, Alamine Ousmane Mey, said the programme would reduce inequalities and promote shared prosperity, while AfDB's Central Africa Director General, Léandre Bassolé, described it as a "catalyst for transformation" that strengthens entrepreneurship and human capital development.

The intervention supported 18,000 households with two bags of rice and sorghum each. In addition, 35,000 women received N10,000 cash, a wrapper, and food supplies—amounting to more than N350 million in direct support.
