The President of the United States of America, Donald Trump has imposed 25 per cent tariffs on steel and aluminium entering the country in a major expansion of existing trade barriers.While signing a series of executive orders to impose the tariffs on Monday, Trump said the tariffs, which he had floated on Sunday, would apply to all countries with "no exemptions".
The tariffs, set to raise the cost of importing these metals into the U.S., come despite warnings of potential retaliation from political leaders in Canada—America's largest supplier of these metals—as well as from other affected nations.
