In a bid to transform Nigeria's agricultural sector, TracTrac, a leading mechanisation service provider, has empowered over 135,000 smallholder farmers with tractors and modern farming equipment.
The initiative aims to tackle the challenges of high costs, poor financing, and limited access to technology that have long hindered mechanisation in the country.
Despite agriculture being the backbone of Nigeria's economy, only 16% of smallholder farmers have access to mechanised tools.
TracTrac is changing that narrative through its digital platform, TracTrac-Plus, which allows farmers to book tractors in real time, map their farms, track assets, and make secure payments, making modern farming more accessible and efficient.

Beyond providing tractors, the company is committed to closing the gender and youth gap in farming. With 50% of newly trained mechanisation service providers being women and young entrepreneurs (ages 18-35), TracTrac is ensuring the next generation of farmers thrives in a technology-driven agricultural landscape.
Recognizing the need for systemic change, TracTrac is collaborating with government agencies and private investors to push for policies that promote mechanisation.
Through partnerships with the National Centre for Agricultural Mechanisation, Women in Mechanisation Association, and the Nigeria Economic Summit Group, the company is advocating for long-term solutions that will modernize Nigeria's agriculture sector
