The Federal Ministry of Youth Development has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with payment technology firm Flutterwave to empower Nigerian youths and enhance their business skills.
According to a statement issued on Friday, the signing ceremony was attended by the Minister for Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande; the Permanent Secretary, Olubunmi Olusanya; and other senior officials of the ministry.
The agreement aims to implement key initiatives that will provide training, mentorship, and opportunities for young Nigerian entrepreneurs and small businesses.
Flutterwave Founder and CEO, Olugbenga Agboola, reaffirmed the company's commitment to supporting Nigerian youths by offering access to training, partner engagement, and business opportunities to drive long-term economic growth.

At the signing, Minister Olawande commended Flutterwave for its role in advancing youth-focused initiatives, describing the partnership as a critical step toward fulfilling President Bola Tinubu's vision for youth empowerment.
"Expanding access to training and mentorship programmes. Supporting youth-led businesses to drive innovation. Strengthening technical and leadership training. Leveraging technology to create sustainable employment opportunities and engaging youth through the NYSC and CLTC," the statement read.
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and Citizenship & Leadership Training Centre (CLTC)—both under the ministry—will play a central role in implementing the initiative.
The minister emphasized that the collaboration aligns with the President's eight priority pillars, providing young entrepreneurs with the resources needed to scale their businesses and contribute to national economic transformation.
