Dear entrepreneurs, It’s International Women’s Day 2025 !! It’s a perfect time to celebrate the ‘SHE-EOs’; the women holding things down in the business space. They are making waves; defying all odds, crushing their goals and are giving no excuses. They are the real deal and they deserve to be celebrated today and every other day.
Did you know that businesses led by women tend to generate higher revenues per dollar invested? Yet, female entrepreneurs still face more hurdles than an athlete at the Olympics! From negotiating deals while balancing family demands to proving (for the hundredth time) that they actually do know what they’re doing, women in business deserve more than just applause today; they deserve real opportunities. So, dear entrepreneurs, this is what I advise: Ditch the Bias – If you still think “business is a man’s world,” check your facts. The rise of women-led MSMEs is proof that talent isn’t gendered. Invest in Women – Studies show that women reinvest 90% of their earnings back into their businesses and communities. That’s called sustainable growth. Collaborate, Don’t Compete – Instead of gatekeeping, let’s open doors for women-led startups. To every woman managing a business, a team, or even just her sanity in this chaotic economy, you’re the real MVP. And to the men in this community, let’s ensure that supporting women in business isn’t just a once-a-year event but a daily commitment. Happy International Women’s Day! Now, go support a woman-led business today (and no, reposting an IWD quote on social media doesn’t count). Here’s what I have for you today:

Before him, clothes were mostly made by anonymous seamstresses, but Worth started signing his designs like an artist and even dictated what his wealthy clients should wear. He’s also credited with creating the first fashion shows by having models (instead of mannequins) wear his designs in his Parisian salon. So, in a way, he was the original influencer. Charles Frederick Worth rose to fame in the mid-19th century, around the 1850s to 1860s. He established the first haute couture house, House of Worth, in 1858 in Paris. His revolutionary approach to fashion which involves designing seasonal collections, using live models, and personally styling clients laid the foundation for the modern fashion industry.
