Ongoing road construction across the Ogun East Senatorial District is expected to significantly impact small businesses and local trade as the government continues its efforts to improve infrastructure.
A recent on-the-spot inspection of key road projects in Ikenne, Remo North, Sagamu, Ijebu-Ode, and Odogbolu local government areas focused on ensuring quality standards and timely delivery.
The roads under inspection include the Iperu-Ode Remo-Sapade Roadworks (Phase 3), Sagamu (Hospital Road Junction)-Ayepe Road, Awokoya Roadworks in Ijebu-Ode, and the Igbeba-Talbort-Yidi-Stadium Luba Road-Oke Aje Market project.
Also reviewed were the Ondo Ereko Roadworks and Imoru Roadworks, which are expected to enhance mobility for traders and businesses.
For small businesses, especially in retail, logistics, and agriculture, improved road infrastructure means better access to markets, reduced transportation costs, and increased customer reach.
The Igbeba-Talbort-Yidi-Stadium Luba Road-Oke Aje Market project, in particular, is set to ease movement for traders, suppliers, and buyers, enhancing commercial activities in the region.
