The Akwa Ibom State government has completed the 23.25km Ikot Ekaide-Ikot Okoro-Ikot Ibritam road, a critical infrastructure project aimed at enhancing trade and opening up agrarian communities in Oruk Anam.
Governor Umo Eno, who commissioned the project, highlighted that the road was inherited at 50% completion from his predecessor, Udom Emmanuel, and has now been fully delivered with two bridges to facilitate economic activities.

"Infrastructure is a key pillar of our ARISE Agenda, and we are making strategic investments without borrowing from any financial institution," the governor stated. He also announced plans for the groundbreaking of the Tropicana International Conference Centre and the revival of stalled projects to create job opportunities.
Governor Eno urged young people to take advantage of these initiatives, reinforcing his administration's commitment to youth empowerment. He also appreciated the people of Oruk Anam for their support and commended Amitec, the construction firm, for its additional contributions to the community, including water projects, youth sponsorships, and school donations.
