The federal government has announced plans to establish 'Renewed Hope Cultural Villages' across Nigeria's 36 states to promote cultural heritage and drive economic growth in the creative industry.
According to Abiola Abdulkareem, special assistant to the minister of art, culture, tourism and creative economy, the initiative is part of the 'Renewed Hope Cultural Project' and will be executed in collaboration with state governments.
The project aims to transform historic sites into creative hubs, fostering job creation in arts, tourism, and entertainment. It will also focus on restoring historic monuments, enhancing cultural education, and supporting local crafts.
