Lagos State took center stage at the 2025 Commonwealth Trade and Investment Summit (CTIS) as Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu led a Governor's Roundtable dedicated to unlocking investment opportunities in Africa's largest city.
The roundtable provided an international platform to showcase Lagos's economic potential, innovation ecosystem, and the state's continued push to attract global investors.
"We have positioned Lagos as a hub for innovation, finance, and creativity. By strengthening our regulatory environment and investing in infrastructure, we've created fertile ground for sustainable growth," the governor said.

Sanwo-Olu emphasized that Lagos's private sector remains a key driver of growth, powered by ambition and resilience. He added that the state government's focus is on enabling access to credit, ensuring infrastructure reliability, streamlining regulations, and maintaining a responsive public sector.
"Our role is to listen, enable, and support. With the right partnerships, Lagos will not only lead in Africa but also compete globally," he stated.
The Governor's remarks align with the broader CTIS agenda of fostering inclusive trade, sustainable investment, and collaborative growth across Commonwealth nations.
