In a bold move to tackle youth unemployment, the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy has partnered with the Digital Bridge Institute (DBI) to launch the Talent City initiative a nationwide programme designed to turn campuses into innovation hubs and job creation centres.
At the unveiling in Lagos, Minister Dr. Bosun Tijani highlighted the programme as a step toward President Bola Tinubu's goal of creating one million tech jobs.
He stressed the importance of private sector involvement and digital upskilling to unlock Nigeria's youth potential.
"With a youthful population and global tech talent shortages, Nigeria can lead the next digital workforce revolution," Tijani said.

DBI President David Daser said Talent City aims to repurpose underused public and private assets into vibrant digital campuses. He described the initiative as a game-changer for job creation and a platform that directly connects ICT graduates to employment opportunities.
"This is more than job creation it's about building a sustainable digital ecosystem that empowers young Nigerians and positions the country as a leading outsourcing destination," Daser added.
