Germany has identified Nigeria as a key partner in its quest for sustainable energy, citing the country's vast natural resources, strategic location, and progressive leadership.
German Ambassador Annett Günther disclosed this at the opening of a two-day stakeholder meeting in Abuja focused on Nigeria's draft hydrogen policy.
With over 309 trillion cubic feet of gas reserves and significant renewable energy potential, Nigeria is seen as a strong candidate to supply green hydrogen to Germany, which cannot meet its hydrogen needs domestically.
