The Kwara State government has teamed up with NIRSAL and other agriculture-focused funding institutions to drive inclusive and sustainable agricultural growth across the state.
Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr. Afeez Abolore, disclosed this during an inter-ministerial press briefing in Ilorin.
He said the partnerships aim to align national interventions with the specific needs of smallholder farmers, youths, and rural communities.
"Our engagements focus on building a system that delivers real value to farmers by aligning national support with local priorities," he said.

Abolore highlighted ongoing efforts, including a new 7-member interim committee to monitor the distribution of agricultural resources, ensuring inputs reach grassroots farmers.
Other first-quarter achievements include the Agro Input Fair and the launch of a pilot soil assessment lab to support precision farming under the Federal Government's Soil Health Card Scheme.
The ministry has also deepened collaboration with RIFAN to enhance local rice production and value chain development. Abolore reaffirmed the state's commitment to collaborative efforts aimed at transforming Kwara's agricultural sector.
