In a bold move to position Nigerian youth on the global tech stage, the Federal Ministry of Youth Development has partnered with GITEX Global to spotlight 300 promising Nigerian startups at a nationwide digital showcase from September 1–4, 2025.
The initiative, led by Minister of State for Youth Development, Hon. Ayodele Olawande, follows a strategic meeting with NITDA Director General, Dr. Inuwa Kashifu Abdullahi. The goal is to connect Nigerian startups with global exposure, partnerships, and scale-up support.
The program builds on the Nigerian Youth Academy (NiYA), a flagship project under President Bola Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda. NiYA has already onboarded over 210,000 youth, with training centers being established in all 774 local government areas.
