Governor Umo Eno has disbursed over N400 million in farm, trade, and business grants to 1,076 beneficiaries in the Eket Federal Constituency under the ARISE Empowerment Initiative.
Speaking at the Cenotaph by Eket Stadium, the governor said 268 people benefited from the ARISE Farmers Grant, 549 from the Traders Grant, and 239 from the Equipment Support Scheme. Eight others received N5 million MSME grants, while 12 got vehicles.
He emphasized the non-partisan nature of the empowerment, stating that it is open to all qualified Akwa Ibomites registered on the ARISE portal. Reaffirming his relationship with former Governor Udom Emmanuel, Eno stated, "There is no issue between me and my political father."

The governor also addressed key local issues, including the Qua River Hotel and Stubb Creek, promising intervention while urging peace in affected communities. He announced the setup of a high-level committee to resolve disputes over Stubb Creek.
Governor Eno thanked Eket people for their turnout and support, calling Eket the "land of his rebirth" and promising continued development across the constituency.
