The Lagos State Government is collaborating with Canadian-based Councillor Ajibola Abitoye to strengthen emergency response capacity and empower youth-led SMEs.
The partnership, driven by the Ministry of Special Duties and the Ministry of Youth and Social Development, will provide training, capacity-building, and global exposure for small emergency service providers and young entrepreneurs in Lagos.
Commissioner Olugbenga Oyerinde said the initiative will enhance disaster response efficiency and open new opportunities for local SMEs in safety, logistics, and skills development.
Councillor Abitoye praised Lagos' leadership and pledged support in areas such as fire prevention, youth empowerment, public safety, and SME training.
Officials say the collaboration will promote knowledge sharing, innovation, and improved service delivery among local businesses in the emergency and youth development sectors.
