The country has expanded public participation in legislative processes through digital platforms, notably engaging over 7,000 citizens during the National Assembly Open Week. These initiatives aim to make governance more transparent and responsive, particularly to young Nigerians. Read also, Legislative milestones such as the Nigeria Data Protection Act and amendments to the Cybercrime Bill were highlighted as part of a broader strategy to protect digital rights and enhance public trust in technology. Provisions for gender equity, including the Reserved Seats for Women Bill, also form part of this framework. To ensure Africa's role in shaping global digital norms, Nigeria proposed the creation of a Global Parliamentary Forum on Artificial Intelligence.
