The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), in collaboration with the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF), has launched a digital literacy programme to equip federal civil servants with critical technology skills. The initiative is expected to improve service delivery and create a more business-friendly environment for SMEs.
Speaking at the workshop, Dr. Ahmad Yusuf Tambuwal, representing NITDA's DG, Kashifu Inuwa, explained that the Digital Literacy for All (DL4ALL) programme would accelerate digital adoption across ministries, ensuring faster and more efficient government processes that directly benefit businesses engaging with the public sector.
The OHCSF, represented by Mrs. Fatima Sugra Mahmood, emphasized that the civil service is working towards a paperless ecosystem by year-end. This shift, she said, will simplify transactions, reduce bottlenecks, and make it easier for entrepreneurs and SMEs to access government services.

The programme also offers practical training on digital tools and certifications, preparing civil servants to adopt a citizen-centric approach. For SMEs, this means quicker responses, reduced paperwork, and improved access to opportunities such as procurement and regulatory support.
By fostering a digitally empowered workforce, NITDA reaffirmed its commitment to supporting innovation and inclusivity, creating an enabling environment where small businesses can thrive in a technology-driven economy.
