To tackle recurring power shortages, members of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) are increasingly turning to alternative energy sources to keep their businesses running. MAN's Assistant Director of Corporate Affairs and Communication, Segun Alabi, said this at the opening of the 12th edition of Propak West Africa exhibition held in Lagos.
He explained that many manufacturers are adopting solar energy and other sustainable solutions to maintain production capacity. According to him, MAN continues to engage its members on sustainability, energy efficiency, and the use of eco-friendly packaging materials.
Alabi commended the exhibition organisers, Afrocet Montgomery, for their consistency in driving innovation in the sector, stressing that MAN is proud to remain a partner of Propak West Africa. The exhibition, which featured over 250 brands from more than 36 countries and attracted about 6,000 experts, has become a key platform for knowledge sharing and growth in packaging, plastics, printing, and processing industries across the region.
