Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, revealed at the Oxford Global Think Tank Leadership Conference in Abuja that 15 million households currently benefit from the ₦75,000 digital payment scheme. Edun explained that the initiative is designed to provide transparent and data-driven financial relief, with each beneficiary identified through a national ID and paid directly via mobile wallets or bank accounts. He said the expansion aims to cushion the impact of reforms while improving inclusion for low-income households.
