Nigeria's energy transition agenda has received a major boost following the signing of a €100 million Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN) and UNIDACO Limited, London.
The agreement, signed during the Renewed Hope Global Dialogue – UK Edition held at the House of Lords, Palace of Westminster, London, marks a significant step toward expanding renewable energy generation and promoting sustainable industrial growth in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda.
Director-General of the ECN, Dr. Abdullahi Mustapha, signed on behalf of the commission, while the signing was witnessed by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris.

The partnership aims to accelerate Nigeria's clean energy transition by harnessing solar, wind, and other renewable sources to boost power supply, drive industrial capacity, and create green jobs across the country.
Dr. Mustapha described the collaboration as a "milestone in Nigeria's commitment to achieving energy security and sustainability," adding that it aligns with the government's goal of attracting private investment into the energy sector to power inclusive economic growth.
