In a post shared on its official X handle, SMEDAN announced that the initiative supported by the Better Life Program for the African Rural Woman (BLPARW) and chaired by Aisha Ibrahim Babangida focused on equipping women with vital business and financial management skills. The participating entrepreneurs received grants and training to help formalize and grow their enterprises sustainably.
