The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has commenced intensive IT training for its staff as part of efforts to digitalise its operations and prepare for the second phase of the Renewed Hope Employment Initiative (RHEI).
Speaking at the flag-off in Abuja, the Director General, Mr. Silas Agara, said the training is aimed at equipping over 100 young staff with digital skills to improve service delivery and reach more Nigerian youths.
"We're moving from manual to digital systems. The success of the first phase of RHEI proved that digital is the future. We must train our staff to meet the growing expectations of Nigerians," Agara stated.

Agara also mentioned ongoing collaborations with the Ministry of Petroleum on gas expansion and the Presidential Committee on CNG, as well as IT-focused NGOs, to expand youth-focused programmes by the end of May.
