Speaking on recent reforms, he said, "We had to block leakages, and though there were initial pains, they are not permanent." Alake revealed that Nigeria has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with South Africa to promote cooperation in the solid mineral sector. He emphasized Nigeria's commitment to local value addition, saying, "We won't license any company without a clear plan to add value locally."
