Over 2,600 entrepreneurs in Ekiti State have received critical business support and equipment through an empowerment initiative facilitated by Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, in collaboration with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN).
The empowerment programme, held on April 4, delivered industrial tools, vehicles, generators, and other business assets to beneficiaries across key sectors such as fashion, beauty, agribusiness, confectionery, transportation, and technical services.

According to SMEDAN, the intervention aligns with its Workforce Support pillar under the GROW Nigerian initiative, designed to boost productivity, expand business operations, and drive job creation at the grassroots.
"This showcases the Senator's strong commitment to local economic development and improving livelihoods across his constituency," the agency said via its official handle.
SMEDAN emphasized the importance of strategic partnerships with lawmakers and community leaders to scale enterprise development efforts nationwide, noting that such collaborations could unlock thousands of new jobs and strengthen Nigeria's MSME ecosystem.
