Over 25 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from London visited Nigeria to explore trade and investment opportunities in key sectors including fintech, sustainability, and enterprise technology. The visit formed part of a trade mission led by the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, aimed at strengthening ties between SMEs in both regions.
The participating businesses, many of which are innovative startups, engaged with Nigerian entrepreneurs, investors, and government officials to foster business partnerships and unlock new markets. The initiative was supported by London & Partners, the Mayor's official business agency, and coordinated by the UK's Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office.
The London SME delegation included companies like Chekkit, Deepsearch Labs, iWarranty, The Washing Machine Project, and SaaScada—firms offering scalable solutions in technology, green energy, and digital finance. Their interest signals growing confidence in Nigeria's SME ecosystem and the country's role as a gateway to Africa's expanding markets.
