Trade between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia has now crossed the $600 million mark, a development seen as a boost for businesses and SMEs exploring new export markets.
Saudi Arabia's Charge d'Affaires, Mr. Saad Fahad Almarri, disclosed this in Abuja during the Kingdom's 95th National Day celebration. He said both nations are strengthening economic cooperation while also working together in areas such as education and security.
Almarri noted that hundreds of Nigerian students have benefitted from Saudi scholarships, while bilateral collaboration continues to expand under the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which focuses on building a vibrant society and thriving economy.

According to him, the growing trade partnership holds great promise for entrepreneurs and SMEs, particularly in agriculture, manufacturing, and services. He also stressed Saudi Arabia's readiness to host Expo 2030, highlighting the Kingdom's rising global influence.
The envoy expressed appreciation to Nigeria's government and people for their support, reaffirming both countries' shared commitment to deeper integration and stronger economic ties.
The event attracted senior government officials, diplomats, business leaders, and representatives of international organisations.
