The Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, has announced a comprehensive package of relief measures to cushion the effects of fuel subsidy removal on residents.
Sharing the update on his official X handle, Abiodun said the initiatives take effect from July 2023 and are designed to support workers, pensioners, and vulnerable groups across the state.
According to the governor, the plan includes a ₦10,000 monthly cash palliative for all public servants and pensioners for three months, hazard allowances for health workers, and peculiar allowances for public servants.
He also approved the release of 2021 and 2022 promotion letters, payment of March and April leave bonuses, and immediate cash-backing for quarterly gratuity payments to pensioners.
