The breakthrough highlights the growing capacity of Nigeria's renewable energy SMEs to compete globally and meet regional demand for affordable, sustainable power solutions. Under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's clean energy drive, local manufacturers have seen production output rise from 120MW to over 650MW, creating new business opportunities, supply chains, and green jobs. Read also, The REA described the export as a "proof of concept" that Nigeria's solar industry can scale production beyond national needs while maintaining international standards. Industry experts say the development marks a new era for energy-focused SMEs, signaling Nigeria's transition from being a consumer of solar technology to becoming a regional exporter and clean energy leader in West Africa. | | | |
