The Ogun State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening security infrastructure and supporting police reforms aimed at enhancing national safety and effective crime prevention.
Speaking in Abuja at the presentation of a paper titled "Uplifting and Upgrading Police Training Institutions and Infrastructural Facilities as a Panacea in Addressing National Security Challenges", delivered by former Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba (rtd), CFR, the Ogun State delegation joined other security stakeholders to emphasize the importance of modernizing police training and infrastructure.

The State Government noted that no nation can achieve sustainable development without a well-trained, adequately equipped, and motivated police force, aligning strongly with the central message of the former IGP's presentation.
In line with this vision, Ogun State has continued to invest strategically in security logistics, communication systems, and inter-agency collaboration to ensure the effective protection of lives, property, and investments across the Gateway State.
The government commended the Nigeria Police Force for its ongoing reform initiatives and pledged continued support for efforts aimed at improving institutional capacity, modern training facilities, and technology-driven policing systems.
These initiatives, the government stated, reflect the administration's commitment to sustainable security and development under its Building Our Future Together agenda.
