Local government chairmen in Katsina State have praised Governor Malam Dikko Umar Radda for his strides in mechanized farming, highlighting its impact on food sufficiency, employment, and rural development.
Mai'adua Local Government Chairman, Mamman Salisu Na-Allahu, commended the initiative, noting that mechanized farming has boosted agricultural productivity, reduced youth migration, and increased government revenue from agricultural taxes.
He added that improved farming conditions are expected to attract investors, especially in border areas.
Similarly, Mashi Local Government Chairman, Alhaji Salisu Kallah Dankada, emphasized that the mechanized farming push has created opportunities for youth-led agribusinesses, leading to a decline in crime rates.

He revealed that each of the state's 34 local government areas received 100 power tillers, fertilizers, pesticides, and solar generators to enhance irrigation farming.
Dankada further noted that Governor Radda, a Ph.D. holder in Agriculture, is spearheading a farming revolution in Katsina.
He highlighted the empowerment of 1,000 youths with startup funds ranging from ₦500,000 to ₦1 million for business ventures.
Despite the increased availability of agricultural produce in Katsina's markets, concerns remain over high prices that are still beyond the reach of many.
