This initiative, funded entirely through internal member contributions, aims to scale up Nigeria's cashew production and increase foreign exchange earnings. Dr. Ojo Ajanaku, NCAN National President, announced the production of the sought-after Ogbomosho or Oyo State variety seedlings across seven states, including Enugu (50,000), Edo (40,000), and Oyo (30,000). These seedlings mature rapidly and are highly prized globally. He called for urgent government support from agencies like NADF, NALDA, and NASC to unlock the sector's full potential.
