The Oyo State Government has partnered with the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) to sensitise members on proper haulage fee payments and strengthen support for small-scale manufacturers.
The initiative, led by the Ministry for Investment, Trade, Cooperatives, and Industry, was announced during a visit to MAN's Secretariat in Jericho, Ibadan.
Commissioner Adeniyi Adebisi, represented by Permanent Secretary Olajide Okesade, said the partnership aims to drive sustainable industrial growth and fair revenue practices.
Adebisi highlighted infrastructure upgrades—including improved roads and ongoing work at Ibadan Airport designed to make Oyo more attractive to investors.
He also stressed the state's commitment to developing small-scale industries like Gari Oyo and turmeric processing for export, inviting MAN's support in identifying capable producers.

The state is working with the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) and encourages MAN to join in promoting local products globally. Adebisi also assured manufacturers of fair tax policies and urged better data sharing for effective engagement.
MAN representative Sebastine Shuiabu appreciated the government's industrial efforts, while Executive Secretary Nanzing Rimdan pledged collaboration to tackle infrastructure, financing, and regulatory issues.
This partnership underscores a shared vision to support MSMEs and build a stronger industrial base in Oyo State.
