The Benue Investment and Property Company Limited (BIPC) has received 10 more trucks of machinery ahead of the October 2025 launch of its Food Basket Brewery, Benfruit, and Juice Factories in Makurdi.
BIPC Managing Director, Dr. Raymond Asemakaha, confirmed that 26 out of the expected 50 truckloads of equipment have now arrived, signaling progress on the multi-sector investment. The three factories, he said, are projected to create over 1,500 direct jobs, targeting youth unemployment and economic revival.
"We are deliberately introducing these businesses to absorb our graduates and stimulate economic activity," Asemakaha stated.

He revealed that the brewery alone could generate between ₦400 million to ₦500 million monthly upon full operation. The company estimates that between £5 million to £10 million is required for the brewery setup.
So far, BIPC's earlier ventures — including bread, water, nails, and polythene production — have already created 580 direct and over 3,000 indirect jobs.
"We want our money to rotate within the state. The more factories we set up, the more our economy grows," Asemakaha added.
Benue's industrial push positions it as a rising hub for agro-processing and manufacturing in Nigeria.
