During a meeting with officials of the Fisheries Committee for the West Central Gulf of Guinea (FCWC) in Abuja, Oyetola signed the Monrovia Declaration and a new protocol on labour standards to promote sustainable fishing, transparency, and better working conditions in the sector. Read also; He announced that Nigeria will host the 16th Session of FCWC Ministers later this year, a platform to strengthen regional collaboration against IUU fishing and enhance fisheries governance.
