Oyerinde stressed that SMEs, alongside larger private firms, create millions of jobs not only through direct employment but also across supply and distribution networks. He explained that when a business shuts down, its impact extends beyond its workers to thousands of jobs connected to its value chain. Read also, He noted that despite economic challenges, SMEs continue to shoulder the burden of job creation, sustaining livelihoods and supporting national growth. This, he said, proves that the private sector plays a far bigger role in employment than government institutions.
