About the SDG4 Youth & Student Network
The SDG4 Youth & Student Network is UNESCO's official global platform for youth engagement in education. It brings together young leaders, students, and activists from across the globe to contribute to policymaking, advocacy, and innovation that supports inclusive, equitable, and quality education for all.
The Network:
- Acts as the youth voice on the SDG4 High-Level Steering Committee, representing students and young changemakers in front of ministers, donors, and global education leaders.
- Supports youth-driven initiatives, including policy briefs, global webinars, workshops, and high-impact advocacy campaigns.
- Enables members to collaborate through thematic working groups on key areas such as digital learning, education in emergencies, sustainability, equity, and more.

Term of Engagement

Who Can Apply?
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be 16–30 years old at the time of application.
- Be actively involved with a non-profit, youth- or student-led organization operating locally, regionally, or globally in the field of education.
- Have a strong commitment to SDG4 – Education 2030.
- Have no conflict of interest as outlined in the Network's Code of Conduct (e.g., not holding a government or for-profit position that may interfere with Network duties).
Note: Current and former SDG4 Youth & Student Network members are welcome to reapply for the 2026–2027 term.
