Over 500 youth and women entrepreneurs across Southern Kaduna have received business tools from Senator Sunday Marshal Katung to boost small-scale enterprises and promote self-reliance.
At the Zonkwa event, beneficiaries got refrigerators, generators, and industrial sewing machines through a partnership with the National Centre for Agricultural Mechanisation (NCAM). The initiative targeted existing business owners in need of equipment to scale operations.
Represented by Simon Arabo, Senator Katung said the transparent, non-partisan selection process ensured fairness. "You are fortunate to be chosen from thousands who hoped to benefit. Use these items to grow your business and help others," he urged.

Committee Chair and former House Minority Leader, Gideon Lukas Gwani, commended the senator's commitment to grassroots economic empowerment, while PDP Zone 3 Chairman, Danjuma Akuso, described him as a people-focused leader.
Beneficiaries, including Hajiya Maimuna Adamu, a tailor from Jema'a, and Mohammed Zakaria, a fashion entrepreneur from Kachia, said the equipment would enhance productivity, reduce downtime, and expand their customer base.
The intervention, they noted, is already transforming lives and enterprises across the district.
