Farmers in Oyo State will soon enjoy better road networks and upgraded markets, as the state government intensifies work on the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP).
The initiative, aimed at boosting agricultural productivity and improving market access, will ease the transportation of farm produce, strengthen food security, and enhance economic growth.
Acting Governor Bayo Lawal, while inspecting ongoing projects alongside Agriculture Commissioner Olasunkanmi Olaleye and other top officials, stressed the importance of quality delivery and timely completion.

Projects under inspection include the 21.95km Olokoyo–Ikere Dam Road, the Oja Agbe Market in Iseyin, and the 31.7km Alako–Idiya–Batake–Olowa Ijaye Farm Settlement Road.
Lawal reaffirmed the Makinde-led administration's commitment to rural infrastructure development, while Olaleye assured that strict monitoring would ensure contractors deliver to standard.
With these upgrades, farmers and traders across Oyo are set to experience smoother access to markets, higher yields, and a more supportive business environment.
