Nigeria is moving from being a consumer of technology to a global player in Artificial Intelligence (AI), with small businesses and women entrepreneurs at the heart of this shift, says Director General of NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi.
Speaking at the BRICS Women's Business Alliance session in Abuja, Inuwa noted that under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda, Nigeria aims not just to join the AI race but to lead it. He shared these insights on NITDA's official X handle.
He unveiled a five-pillar National AI Strategy focused on building sovereign digital infrastructure, empowering startups and women founders, transforming industries, ensuring ethical use of AI, and strengthening governance.
