The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) in collaboration with the Presidential Implementation Committee on Technology Transfer (PiCTT) has launched the DELT-HER program, short for Developing Engineering Leaders Through HER. The initiative aims to inspire and equip young women with technical expertise, leadership skills, and innovation opportunities within Nigeria's technology ecosystem.
Speaking at the inaugural event, a representative emphasised that sustainable development cannot be achieved when women and girls remain underrepresented in science, engineering, and innovation. Diversity, they noted, fuels creativity and progress, with women offering unique perspectives essential for solving national challenges.

The DELT-HER program is designed to bridge the gender skills gap by providing mentorship, training, and platforms that encourage women to pursue careers in engineering and technology. Through this effort, NASENI and PiCTT are working to create pathways for women to lead in sectors that drive industrial and technological growth.
Stakeholders applauded the initiative as a transformative step toward inclusive innovation and national development. By unlocking the potential of women and girls, Nigeria moves closer to achieving balanced prosperity, stronger communities, and a more competitive economy.
