Job Description/Requirements Responsibilities: - Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding specifications.
- Operate welding equipment (MIG, TIG, Stick, or Arc) to join or repair metal components.
- Inspect materials and finished welds for strength, accuracy, and quality.
- Measure and cut materials to specification using hand and power tools.
- Maintain welding equipment in good working condition.
- Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate protective gear at all times.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of tools and work area.
- Identify and report any faults, defects, or inconsistencies in materials or workmanship.
- Work independently or as part of a team to complete projects on time.
- Assist in the fabrication and assembly of metal structures or frameworks.
Requirements: - High school diploma or technical certification in welding or a related field.
- Proven experience as a welder or completion of a recognised apprenticeship.
- Proficient in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Arc, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Good hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.
- Understanding of safety procedures and regulations related to welding and fabrication.
