The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) says digital transformation is key to economic diversification, SME empowerment, and rebuilding trust between government and citizens.
Speaking at the 2-day Government–Citizens Engagement Session held in Kaduna, NITDA Director General Kashifu Inuwa highlighted the agency's initiatives under the Renewed Hope Agenda, including the 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) programme and the Digital Literacy for All initiative.
He revealed that over 350,000 Nigerians in the North have already received digital training, with a national goal of 70% digital literacy by 2027. "From students to market women, no one is left behind," Inuwa said.

Inuwa added that partnerships with the NYSC and Ministry of Education are helping embed digital skills into both formal and informal education systems, opening up new opportunities for youth and small business owners.
