Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, has pledged to domesticate the Federal Government's digital innovation programmes in the state, with a focus on improving civil service operations and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Speaking during a courtesy visit by the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, Governor Zulum expressed interest in the federal digital tools, such as the Service-Wise GPT platform and the online compendium of circulars, noting their potential to modernize service delivery and enhance SME development through more efficient public systems.
He emphasized that digitizing public service operations would not only improve coordination across government levels but also provide a more responsive environment for entrepreneurs and small business owners.
Zulum highlighted his administration's commitment to capacity building, stating that Borno State is ready to send civil servants for professional training and that the government has already provided housing for federal civil service personnel to strengthen federal-state collaboration.
